The Spanish dream : story of the Chinese Immigrants in Sevilla

English Abstract

In recent decades, Spain has been transformed from a land of emigrants to immigrants. Among the millions of new arrivals are Chinese, who have become the largest Asian group in Spain. This study will investigate the experiences of Chinese immigrants as they pursue their Spanish dream - a multifaceted dream that can be defined differently but mostly achieved through self-employment. Aside from presenting the characteristic of Chinese businesses, this study will look at the opportunities and obstacles Chinese have, and to review the relationship of the Chinese and the larger society.
