In the “multinational hub” Macau, interracial couples are everywhere to be found. Although interracial dating is a common phenomenon, most of them are between western white men and Asian women. Few people really spend time to study about the topic and few studies of Macau interracial dating can be found. To complete my master thesis, I have spent the past year observing and interviewing people who have interracial dating experience. Since I am a Chinese woman living in Asia, I hope I can stand on my position and decode the attraction between Chinese women and western men.
