藝術教育中的色彩教學 : 應用印象主義、新印象主義、後印象主義的色彩觀的一項行動研究

English Abstract

This research studies the importance and impact of the teaching of colours to some vocational high school students in Macau. A preview in the history of Western painting tells the development of the various streams of painting, each of which has its own unique techniques and performance in colours. The distinctive colour theories developed respectively by artists performing in Impressionism, Neo-Impressionism and Post-Impressionism have nurtured the art world and the artists thereafter. This research studies and appropriates the colour theories of Impressionism, Neo-Impressionism and Post-Impressionism to the teaching of art. Literature reviews are made upon some scholarly studies to recognize the history and concepts of the above traditions, as well as to appreciate the importance of colour theories in art teaching. Adopting the methodology of „action research‟, a set of art lessons is designed for some 24 students throughout a school term in a vocational school in Macau. Through introducing the three colour traditions, this research aims to explore the development of colour sense, techniques, and sensational expression of the students. The research analyzes and evaluates students‟ learning outcomes by studying students‟ work, their learning-outcome evaluation table, their self-evaluation table, and teaching evaluation table. Interviews with students are also considered to understand the feedback of course design and teaching method. Implementing the colour theories of Impressionism, Neo-Impressionism and Post-Impressionism through the methodology of action research, this research has the following findings: (1) students‟ cognitive capacity of colours has been improved; (2) students‟ skill of colours has been improved remarkably; (3) students have recognized the important role of colours in the expression of art and in their daily life; their motivation and attitude for further learning in colours is also acknowledged. Finally, upon the above findings, some modest suggestions are made; hopefully further comments and studies in art education would be recommended by other educators.

Chinese Abstract

本研究旨在探討色彩教學對澳門職業中學美術班學生的重要性和影響。在 西方繪畫發展史上,每個階段和不同流派的繪畫作品的色彩表現,具有各自的 表現技法和相對的獨立性,當中以印象主義、新印象主義、後印象主義的畫家 們,在色彩繪畫上提出並發展了一種完全屬於他們自己的色彩理論,向視覺藝 術世界跨進了新的一步。因此本研究以印象主義、新印象主義、後印象主義的 色彩觀為方向,探討學生在色彩的認知審美修養、色彩技能運用的熟練程度、 情感創造力表達三方面的學習成效。本研究從搜集的相關文獻中瞭解到三種主 義色彩觀對色彩教學的重要性。這項色彩教學採用行動研究法,即本研究員根 據以上三種色彩觀自行設計課程,對澳門一所中學的 24 位高二年級的學生實 施為期一個學期有系統的色彩教學;在整個研究過程中,本研究員通過學生作 品、學習成果評量表、學生自評表、以及教學檢核表等對學生的學習成效作出 分析和評價,並通過訪談瞭解學生對課程設計和教學實施的反饋。研究結果發 現,應用印象主義、新印象主義、後印象主義色彩觀的行動研究,即一系列的 色彩教學:(1)學生的色彩認知能力得以提升;(2)學生在色彩技能方面有 明顯的進步;(3)學生明瞭色彩在藝術的傳達表現與生活實現上的重要性, 學生在色彩表現的學習動機與學習態度也明顯提升。最後,基於上述發現,本 研究對色彩教學提出了一些建議,以期拋磚引玉,引起更多對美術教育工作有 興趣的學者和教育工作者的後續研究。
