Abstract My aim to study is based on the Portuguese-Chinese Dictionary compiled by Matteo Ricci and Michele Ruggieri, the two famous to Macau preacher in the 16th century. Quantitative analysis has been applied to this research including categorical quantification, categorical quantification in word pairs, statistics on the frequency of use for different parts of speech, and categorical statistics on the various formations of phrases. The characteristics of the vocabulary in the Portuguese-Chinese Dictionary have been summed up by means of the quantitative analysis. At the same time, a systematic comparison has been made between the Chinese vocabulary in the said dictionary and the vocabulary of classical Chinese and modern Chinese. Besides, some analyses have been done about the affix of the word, the change of term of address, the spread of the vocabulary in dialects in the dictionary. All in all, this thesis aims to analyse the characteristics of the Chinese vocabulary and provide some information for further research on chronological changes of the Chinese vocabulary through the Portuguese-Chinese Dictionary. 提要 本文以十六世紀歐洲傳教士利瑪竇和羅明堅編撰《葡漢辭典》的漢語詞彙為研究對象，對其進行量化分析研究。包括詞的分類計量，合成詞構成方式的分類計量，統計不同詞類出現的次數等等；以及詞組的構成方式分類統計。在定量的基礎上分析、總結《葡漢辭典》的漢語詞彙的特點。 本文還對《葡漢辭典》中的漢語詞彙與古代漢語和現代漢語詞彙系統進行了比較分析。同時也分析了詞綴、稱謂的變化，以及方言詞在辭典中的分佈。 本文旨在通過對《葡漢辭典》中的漢語詞彙的分析研究，描繪其漢語詞彙面貌，勾勒其詞彙特徵，為漢語詞彙系統的歷時演變研究提供一定的資料基礎。 關鍵詞：利瑪竇 羅明堅 葡漢辭典 漢語詞彙
