This ephemeral film stars three whitebread high schoolers and their whitebread coach who bowls with Dick York's dad. Dad is shown, after a hard day at the office, at home, interacting briefly with Junior and Sis. He's still wearing his business suit as he heads off to bowling. Dick fell asleep at his own party. That made his main squeeze "sore" at him. Dick has no pep, no get up and go. He's real concerned about his studies. Apparently he's hitting the books so hard, he's spending too little time resting. Advice from the physician and education Ph.D. advisors to the film: limit the amount of time you spend studying, adhere to a set time for sleep, wind down before sleep with a warm (not hot) bath, don't smoke or drink coffee, ensure the bedroom isn't too hot and is well ventilated, get some exercise (like track practice) in the afternoon.
Reflects life as it was imagined ideally to be in America in 1949: well-behaved, mannerly, respectful, white, well-dressed, God-fearing, patriotic. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
