Features one of the more incredible stunts I've ever seen.
Review
A pretty excellent batch this time: The UN condemns Russia for it's takeover of Hungary. Some Hungarian takeover footage is shown, and it is said that Russia has been denounced "for all time" because of this, Aircraft carrier mirror: A very confusing bit involving plances decreasing pilot error when landing on carriers by using mirrors. I'm still confused at how they do it, but some rather cool landing footage is shown. Hummingbirds: An overview of a Hummingbird sanctuary is shown. We see the birds in action, and the man who fills up the nectar bottles for them. Nothing too earth shattering. Crop Dusters: We follow the crop dusters of columbia as they dust the cotton fields of Columbia. EXTREMELY scary footage of them dusting the fields like, 2 feet above the ground ("Watch out for that bush!") and even scarier is how they dust the hillside crops by pretty much going down in a 75 degree angle while dusting and zooming up in the nick of time. WOW. Clock Museum: At first glance I thought this was going to be a boring segment, but I was surprisingly amused by it, as we see a lot of UNUSUAL timepieces, like the clock that slowly goes down a slope, one revolution per hour, The matchbox clock (somewhat dangerous) and the cannon time piece. Great segment. Missles: Past and Present: Truly one of the more awesome segments in a film I have seen in a long time. We see the "first" combat missle, essentially a guided plane with a lot of explosives on it, after a lot of hilarious (filmed) aborted takeoffs, the plane finally flimsily takes to the sky where we watch it as it wobbily flies to and fro. We've learned from that, and we are testing new military experiments all the time! We then see some fascinating footage, one of which we see what happens when a small piece of metal is dropped into a engine (hint: Boom!) and in another, a test of a ejection seat when flying rather fast. We see a guy being ejected by a cart going god knows how fast, and I swear, it's one of the most amazing things I've ever seen, the guy and the cart go HURTLING towards us. It's hard to explain. Just watch this. We finish it off by an overview of the Erie Canal, both old and new. Pretty interesting. Nice batch!
