This was the 1st Preli in my now mass-ass-ive collection. Seems standard Sid Davis stuff.
Jerry Mathers, er, Warner is in a weird room that has 3 thin doors leading from it (Do the vice-principal, principal, and other all have 1 secretary? Or is that where all to be processed students wait?). Here, he reflects on his misdeeds:
1. Running in the 'hall' (In CA this is a sidewalk next to the building (how did they secure their lockers against strangers?)) and bumping into a girl, knocking her books down.
2. Hitting a girl in the head with a milk carton and getting someone else blamed for it.
(That blonde girl who sees this looks strange in that shot)
2a. Hitting up someones milk carton and fighting.
(Yikes! That vice-principal looks...authortarian)
(What IS that framed this on his wall)
('But Mom was on my side.' Listen to that tone of voice!)
(And he does a smooth job on the trash detail, watch him miss that peice of ppr!)
3. He got an F in a 'Home Assignment' (Homework) in Algebra no less! What! An F! You'll never know how to help America defeat Those Godless Commies(tm) if you can't do 4y^-7 !!
4. He RIDES (Not drives, obviously) is bike out of the school grounds into the street gets breaked at by a land yacht and chewed out by a convient policeman.
5. He hang out WAY to late with the 'gang' at Dino's pizza (Sid Davis found the WEIRDEST named food places (Check Girls Beware for another one)). Nice cinder blocks.
6. And finally... SPRAYPAINTING a LAB COAT. He even deleberately disregarded the instructions about proper ventilation by CLOSING the door.
(What happened to the other 2? Were they charged as accessories?)
7. SUNK! Now he realizes, 1/2Way down! I love his rationalization about 'Authority' of which the ViceP seems a good in that era (for lack of a better word) personification.
