I cannot think of the products of Heinz without thinking of "The Who Sell Out" and the picture of Roger Daltry in a tub of Heinz Beans. Now to the film...
Although I wish I also got "daily rubdowns by electric grooming devices" as the Heinz delivery horses did, alas I am of a later era, not the one when "much of a housewife's food was largely seasonal". Much was large indeed.
But on to Sharpsburg, PA where Heinz started. It could be anywhere, because it is *distribution* that is key to selling 57 varieties.
Oh, and by the way it is "ketchup" not "catsup".
So while we watch stack upon stack of boxes in warehouses destined for deliverey to your neighborhood store, remember that it is glistening (not merely gleaming) white motor trucks that are "kept spic and span - as clean and wholesome as the food they transport" that you depend on. And when you pick up a can of tomato soup you should see "the loving care of famous chefs who know when to say 'That's it!'"
