Theme
Bizzarro world If anyone tries to tell you that smear tactics and negative campaigns have only recently come into vogue, tell 'em to cram it. This stump picture for the Republican candidate, Wendell Willkie goes after FDR with ever piece of mud it can find. Attacking the idea that someone running for a third term is un-American. Telling us that Willkie's supporters are just average Americans, not people bought and paid for by a corrupt "City machine." They mention "City" in a perjorative sense about three or four times, and you can hear them capitalizing it every time. What's really weird is watching a GOP candidate claim that he's more liberal than the democrat.
