Innocent (I'm sure) film made for young un's just waiting to shoot probably will get people up in arms (excuse the pun) today. In the danger.. I'm sorry DEMOCRATIC world where gun owners keep their guns unloaded and aim them away from everyone else (this is repeated over and over again) Jimmy and his sister go on a trip, visiting many different gun ranges and finding out about different types of shooting. His sister, who is in a skeet shooting tournament, wins! Soon, Jimmy takes all the he has learned home, and he's off shooting ducks, wild game, and nearly the telegram messenger which just happens to be at the hunting lodge (hmm).
One other fascinating detail about this film is the lack of parental supervision here. Jimmy as I have said, goes on a trip with his sister. Father can't come because he has to stay behind to work at the hospital. When father and son go off shooting ducks, Father goes off alone, while son goes with the guide. Same goes with the wild game expedition. A rather curious sidebar, one which I have no idea why. Reccomended!
