For those of us born and raised there, the film offers an amazing view of yesterday`s life in rural Puerto Rico,otherwise learned of in books.Being born there in 1963, and raised in the city, I can only marvel at how the "jibaros" (country folks)lived a lifestyle with no modern comforts.
