敘事治療中外化對話的理解與應用之行動研究

The aim of the study is to investigate the change that clients experienced when externalization is applied in the counselling process, to enhance researcher's understanding of externalization in narrative therapy, and to promote the researcher's professional and personal growth. The study adopts an action research approach and draws on evidence collected over three cycles of an action research project and from different data sources, and enhances validation through triangulation. The research participants were three students from a university, who came to seek counselling to tackle different problems. The research findings are as follows: 1. The study shows that externalization changes the clients' attitude and feelings toward their problems, enhances their willingness to face their problems and their self-identity. It is also found that externalization urges them to face their problems in a new way. Besides, the benefits of naming and drawing the problem is numerous. 2. The study deepens the researcher's understanding of the statement of position of externalization. Through the study, the researcher knows better how to apply externalization with clients of Chinese culture and how to identify the target of externalization; realizes the benefits of externalization through drawing the problem and the appropriate attitude when applying externalization ; understands the benefits of living peacefully with the problem outweigh that of resisting the problem, and the importance of expanding clients' positive experience in the counselling process. 3. Through this study, the researcher's counselling skills and strategies are enhanced. The researcher realizes the importance of empowering clients, finds that the perception of change factors between counsellor and clients are different; Besides, the researcher v begins to cultivate habits of reflection in daily lives and becomes more aware of personal strengths and weaknesses, self-efficacy is also enhanced in the process.

本研究的目的是探討在敘事治療取向的輔導過程中,外化對話讓個案經歷了什麼 變化歷程,並透過研究過程中的反思,增進研究者對外化對話的理解及促進其專業及 個人成長。本研究採用行動研究的方法,共進行了三個行動循環,以不同的方式蒐集 資料,並透過三角檢核法提升研究效度。 是次研究的參與者為某大學的三位學生,他們因為不同的問題而求助於心理輔導。 研究發現如下: 一、外化對話改變了個案對問題的看法和感受,讓個案願意正視問題的存在,形成較 正面的自我認同,並可促使個案以新的方式對待問題,而以繪畫和命名的方式外化 問題可以帶來不少助益。 二、研究者對外化對話定位圖有更深入的理解,掌握如何在華人文化的個案身上進行 外化對話會更自然,明白該如何辨別外化的對象,體會到以繪畫的方式外化問題對 個案的助益及應用外化時應有的態度,了解與問題共存比對抗問題的方式更有幫助, 以及擴大個案正向經驗的重要性。 三、經過是次研究,研究者的輔導技巧及策略有所提升,體會到賦權個案的影響力, 並發現輔導員和個案所知覺的改變因子並不一致;輔導員在生活中也開始培養反思 的習慣,透過研究更認清自己的優缺點,自我效能亦有所提升。
