Title

A variacao do uso dos cliticos no Portugues falado em Angola

English Abstract

This study presents an analysis of the variation in the use of clitics in spoken language of Angolan Portuguese (AP), in Luanda, which has played an increasingly important role in the study of linguistic contact between Portuguese and languages of the Bantu family (Mingas, 2000; Inverno, 2005). This paper aims to reveal the fill in (Abraham, 1939; Cyrino, 1997) and placement (Figueiredo, 1944; Lobo, 1992) of clitics in spoken language of AP, one compares its results with the European Portuguese (EP) (Costa & Lobo, 2007; Martins, 2005) and the Brazilian Portuguese (BP) (Cyrino, 1997; Barreto, 2010) to elucidate their features, moreover, combine the Angolan historical-social factors (Pepetela, 1990; Heintze, 2007) to investigate the cause, the process and the influence on the variation of clitics in AP. This analysis is based on interviews collected in the beginning of 2011 for the project: Angolan Oral Portuguese: a historical and present record which is still under transcriptions. Its datas were used to make a statistical calculation of the registered cases and compared with studies contributed for EP and BP. Furthermore, this thesis studies the socio-history theories and uses the contribution of Labov’s sociolinguistics to find out how the use of clitics can be influenced in AP.
