This thesis applies a synthetic method of literary criticism and religious studies to investigate the relation between Buddhism and Su Shi’s prose works, with a Focus on the Huayan theory of non-obstruction between principle and phenomena. The research is mainly conducted from two perspectives: 1) Su Shi’s view of “wendao” (the Way of literature, especially prose) and discussions of Buddhist thoughts in his prose works; 2) the major influence of the Huayan non-obstruction theory on Su Shi’s prose works written in Huangzhou. The thesis finds that Su Shi’s concept of “wendao” emphasized the artistic value of literature (prose), and his view of “Way” transcended the limit of Confucian Way and combines Confucian, Daoist, and Buddhist thoughts, as a result allowing his prose works to contain broad thoughts and contents. In his prose works, Su Shi discussed Chan and Tiantai Buddhist thoughts, but it is the Huayan theory of non-obstruction between principle and phenomena that influenced his prose writing most deeply. The thesis carefully examines Su Shi’s prose works written during the period of his demotion to Huangzhou and analyzes the changes of these works’ content and style. It indicates that the Huayan theory of non-obstruction between principle and phenomena inspired Su Shi’s transcendental spirit and smooth, spontaneous, lucid, flexible, and free style.

本論文採用文學批評和宗教學闡釋相結合的研究方法，探討蘇軾（1037-1101） 文賦與佛學思想的關係，並以華嚴理事無礙觀念的影響為重點。文中從蘇軾的文 道觀融合儒釋道之獨特性，蘇軾文賦中所表現的佛學思想，華嚴圓融無礙思想對 蘇軾黃州時期文賦創作的主導性影響等方面展開研究。經考察研究，得出以下結 論：蘇軾的文道觀強調“文”的藝術價值，其關於“道”的觀念則突破儒家之 “道”的局限，融合儒釋道思想，從而允許其文賦容納表現廣泛的思想內容。蘇 軾在其文賦中闡發了禪宗、天臺宗等思想，而對其文賦創作影響最深的是華嚴理 事無礙的觀念。論文集中考察了蘇軾貶謫黃州時期的文賦作品，分析這些作品的 內容和風格變化，發現華嚴理事無礙思想促使蘇軾形成其超然曠達的心理境界和 “圓活自然，隨物賦形”、“超然自適，淡遠清曠”等文風。
