In order to explore chance events in individual’s career development, this research discusses events encountered by 6 mainland graduates in Macao. As a qualitative research, participants in this study illustrate chance events in past study career during our depth interview. It suggests that all participants’ description includes three main aspects: content of the events, response to the events and the influence on their career development and results consist of three parts: categories, responses and the impacts of the chance events accordingly. For all categories, there are two unique characteristics for mainland people including limitation or alternation of mainland educational policy and official arrangement in college entrance examination. For all impacts, individual’s maturation is of most frequent. For responses to chance events, Intuition and Aspiration to new life present in some participants.

為探索生涯發展中所發生的偶發事件，本研究選取 6 位在澳門升學之大陸研究 生為研究對象、採用質性研究中深度訪談法去深描他們在求學生涯中所遭遇的、對 生涯發展產生影響的偶發事件。本研究發現，研究參與者對偶發事件的描述集中在 三方面，即偶發事件內涵、如何因應偶發事件、偶發事件對生涯發展產生的影響。 基於此，本研究結果從三方面呈現，即事件類別、因應機制類別、及影響層面。就 事件類別而言，教育政策限制或更改、高考調劑政策是華人地區的獨特類別；就事 件影響層面而言，促進個體走向成熟是全體研究參與者論述最多者；就因應機制類 別而言，直覺力、渴望嘗試新的生活或學習環境是本研究的獨特發現。 關鍵字：偶發事件、在澳門升學之大陸研究生、生涯發展
