Mr. Li Xiang Rong has long been engaged in Cantonese opera performances and creative works. He is a distinguished figure in the opera field in Macao. The study of Mr. Li's life and achievements provides important references to our research on Cantonese opera. Based on the development of Cantonese opera, this paper is written with the combination of my own learning experiences and the assimilation of the research results of academic and opera fields. The contents of this paper consist of three areas: the evolution of Cantonese opera, the development of Cantonese opera in Macao and the study of Mr. Li Xiang Rong, where the focus of this paper lies.

李向榮先生長期從事粵曲表演及創作工作，是澳門曲壇的傑出人物。研究李先生的生平與成就對我們研究粵曲提供了重要參考資料。 本文以粵曲發展為基礎，結合自己的學習心得，並吸收學界及曲藝界研究成果撰寫而成。內容包括粵曲的流變、粵曲在澳門的發展及李向榮研究這三個方面。其中以李向榮研究的部分為本文的重點所在。
